And, best of all, for free.
“THEY” are the monolithic Luxury goods monster – LVMH. Home to spendy brands like Dior, Givency, Guerlain and Louis Vitton.
And lets not forget the World’s most expensive wine – Chateau d’ Yquem.
A wine(sadly) not even Da Bg has tasted. (So far)
LMVH is stepping up to the plate to do their part in protecting the french from the ever spreading coronavirus, by, as of today, shifting gears in the perfumieries of Dior, Givency and Guerlain, to produce hydroalcoholic gel.
Which they’ll distribute, for free to French hospitals.
As you’re no doubt aware(and if not now you are) hydroalcoholic gel is the most effective preventive measure thus far in the attempt to halt the spread of coronavirus.
This a doubly good news for french hospitals. Because although they haven’t yet run out of their HC gel supply,it was getting low.
Now, all French hospitals, as well as 39 teaching hospitals will have a new, and hopefully, continuing supply.
Here’s the word straight from the (luxury)”Horse’s Mouth”:
“LVMH intends to help address the lack of product in France and enable a greater number of people to continue to take the right action to protect themselves from the spread of the virus. LVMH will continue to honor this commitment for as long as necessary.
Though this initiatve LVMH plans to adress the lack of product in france and enable a greater number of people to take the right action to protect themselves from this virus.”

Betcha didn’t know there was one – right? Well no worries, because Da BG has got you covered on this French Riviera Secret.
The French know where it is. But, dazzled by all the attention that the non-secret French Riviera gets, most non-froggies would be blindsided.
Understandably, when you consider that for most folks from “over there” the French Rivera conjures up visions of sun drenched beaches, the Cannes film festival, spendy hotels, and that absolute essential of Riviera wonderfulness – designer shopping.
Now, while you can shop(as well as eat,drink and be merry) on the Secret French Riviera, it’s basic attraction is the same climate, minus the crowds.
Have I teased you long enough re: it’s location? Probably. Right? So, let me now spill the Secret French Riviera Beans.
It is: Le Drome. the department, to the North of it’s non-secret cousin.
And having the same climate, it abounds with apricots,almonds,wine and all manner of fresh fruit n’ veg and, bien sur, wine.
With incredible scenery, uncrowded backroads and laid back locals.
In short – a perfect spot for a photo/vido cycling workshop.

Bicycle Gourmet’s Loire Valley Cycling Photo Workshop is one of three I will be offering this year. (Details on all three HERE.)
Da BG’s Cycling Photo/Video Workshop is a totally backroads adventure that will enable a small collection of fine folks(eight to be exact) to profit from the Loire valleys’ sights, sounds, food and wine.(Home to DA BG – BTW) While taking their photo/video prowess to the next level.
There is a reason – or to be more exact -reasons – that the Loire was the preferred playground of the French Kings.
The Loire Valley climate is moderate. Rarely with extremes. Agricultural products abound – manifesting themselves in an abundant gastronomic tradition. And, of course, the incredible wines complete the French Loire experience.
No – I haven’t forgotten the rich History. Actually, impossible. Because no matter which region of France you’re lucky enough to be in – you have History up the yin-yang. As I shared in THIS POST.
